Sleep sound
White noise
White noise is a smooth, even hiss that contains all frequencies at equal strength. It's good at masking voices, traffic and other sudden sounds.
Play White Noise
Opens the sleep mixer. Tap the sound to start it.
White, pink or brown noise?
White noise is the brightest. Pink noise turns the high frequencies down, so it sounds softer, while brown noise is deeper still, like a low rumble. If white noise feels harsh, try one of those.
Keep the volume low: just loud enough to soften other sounds.
How to use it for sleep
- Open the sleep mixer and tap White Noise. Add other sounds if you like and set each volume.
- Choose a sleep timer of 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
- Switch on Bedtime Mode for a dark, dim screen, then put your phone face down.
- When the timer ends, the sound fades out slowly so it doesn't wake you.
