Sleep sound
Brown noise (deep hum)
Brown noise is a warm, low rumble, a bit like a distant engine or a strong waterfall. Its energy sits in the deeper frequencies, so many people find it gentler than white noise.

Who brown noise suits
People who find white noise too hissy often prefer brown noise for sleep, and many use it to help them focus while working. Compare it with white and pink noise to find your favourite.
How to use it for sleep
- Open the sleep mixer and tap Deep Hum. Add other sounds if you like and set each volume.
- Choose a sleep timer of 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
- Switch on Bedtime Mode for a dark, dim screen, then put your phone face down.
- When the timer ends, the sound fades out slowly so it doesn't wake you.
