Evening Unwind
Close the day softly. A slow pattern that helps your body shift from doing to resting.
Start Evening Unwind (15 min)
Follow the circle: it grows as you breathe in and softens as you breathe out.
The 4-2-7 pattern, step by step
- Breathe in for 4 seconds.
- Hold softly for 2 seconds.
- Breathe out for 7 seconds.
That is one round, lasting 13 seconds, or about 4.6 breaths a minute. Repeat it gently for around 15 minutes. If any count feels too long, shorten it: the breath should always feel comfortable.
Gentle reminders during the session
- Dim the lights if you can.
- Let today be done. It was enough.
- Put down any lists for tomorrow.
- Notice the parts of you that feel tired and thank them.
- Let each out-breath close a door on the day.
- The evening is yours now.
