Rooted Breath
Feel your feet or seat. Breathe as though drawing calm up from the earth and sending worry down into it.
Start Rooted Breath (10 min)
Follow the circle: it grows as you breathe in and softens as you breathe out.
The 4-6 pattern, step by step
- Breathe up from the ground for 4 seconds.
- Breathe out into your roots for 6 seconds.
That is one round, lasting 10 seconds, or about 6 breaths a minute. Repeat it gently for around 10 minutes. If any count feels too long, shorten it: the breath should always feel comfortable.
Gentle reminders during the session
- Feel the weight of your body being held.
- Imagine roots growing from your feet into cool soil.
- Let worries drain downward and dissolve.
- Draw up steadiness with every in-breath.
- Strong, quiet, rooted.
